Ingredients
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup milk
1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to absorb.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, soaked breadcrumbs, chopped onion, nutmeg, allspice, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Mix well until combined.
Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs and brown them on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking sheet and place them in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes to finish cooking.
In the same skillet, add flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and stir until the mixture thickens. Lower the heat and add heavy cream and soy sauce. Stir until smooth.
Serve the meatballs topped with the creamy sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.
